Tonight as I was seasoning up some chicken breasts and sprinkling shredded parm cheese I got to thinking about good for my body versus good for my heart. There are some foods out there that are so deliciously bad for my bootey, but make my heart leap for joy. Cheese cake. I think I could sit down and eat an entire strawberry cheese cake; I love it that much (not that I would really sit down and eat an entire cake). The way it's so smooth and melts in your mouth, the burst of sweet strawberries, the crisp and crumbly graham cracker crust *drool* ok, I'm sure you get it. Cheese cake is good for my heart.
So at what point in your weight loss/get healthy journey do you tell yourself that it's ok to eat something that's "good for the heart"? Whether it's a piece of cake or a bowl of chips or a bottle of beer, when do you allow yourself to indulge and not be afraid of eating the whole cake or entire bag of chips?
No, I won't be nibbling on any good for the heart cheese cake tonight. In fact I'm experimenting with some good for the butt quinoa. But I wouldn't complain if anyone brought a cheese cake over...
