Mornings

"Mommmmmmy? Mammmma? Dad? No, MOOMMMMMMMM!"
This is my alarm clock - it's much cuter when he sits in bed and spend his first half hour telling his buddies about his dreams or his deepest two year old secrets. Either way, I drag my blurry eyed self out of bed and pick up my squirmy toddler, who no longer seems to enjoy a good morning snuggle, and shuffle out to the living room. We do a quick butt change and wrestle socks or slippers onto wiggley toes. Then the monkey runs to the kitchen to pick what cereal he wants - this usually means he crawls into the cupboard and screams; "WHERE'D HE GO? heheh MOOOMMMM, WHERE'd HE GO??!" I get him situated at the table with a cup of milk and bowl of cereal - I pour myself a water and turn on the Wii. At this point, Trent freaks! "Workout? Mom? Workout? Me? Workout?" After you finish your breakfast, I tell him for the eight hundred and forty seventh time this morning.
I do my workout from the 6 Week Challenge on Ea More Workouts. Usually it's 20-35 minutes of me snapping resistence bands, or trying to quietly run/jump on the spot so I don't surprise my downstairs neighbours by crashing through their ceiling. I sweat and sometimes I breath heavily. And Trent, whether in his booster seat at the table, or on the floor next to me, copies EVERYTHING. Only his huffing and grunting is WAYY more exaggarted than mine, I swear. Once we're done, there is always a fight about putting away the gear - Trent is never quite done working out. And then I pour myself a well deserved coffee and start my day. Yawn. Good morning!
