At 13 weeks, my little JellyBean is about the size of a peach. S/He is busy wiggling away in my belly and looking less like a little alien and slowly more like a baby. I've had a little relief in the last week and a bit. I'm still quite nauseous, but not actually getting sick. Although, this past weekend the nausea was almost unbearable at some points. This baby will come out super duper cute and I'll forget all about my relationship with the bathroom floor.
My hubby is playing a more active role this time around. The first time, he was quite distant to my growing bump and I'm not sure he even ever felt Trent kick. Last night I got a big goofy smile on my face and really felt JellyBean dance in my belly, Shawn practically leaped across the couch to place a hand on my stomach. I saw disappointment in his eyes when I said that it was really soft this early and he probably wouldn't feel anything. It's nice that he's not so scared, and more of a 'seasoned daddy' this time around.
I'm bidding FAREWELL to the first trimester, the months of sickness and bloating and feeling like I could sleep for days on end. Good Riddance! Hoping for the increased energy and finally getting that baby glow in the second portion of pregnancy. Going to try for more exercise too, at least 3 days a week I want to ride my stationary bike and do some light weight lifting (maybe if I say it here, I might actually do it... maybe....).
